So, I'm finally here. After what seems like years of planning, a busy summer in Victoria and a couple lazy weeks in Odense and Berlin, I'm now a Copenhagener. Settling into a new life here is both exciting and overwhelming. Simple daily tasks like grocery shopping and laundry can be a challenge. But I know it will all take time and am trying to enjoy the experience for what it is as it's rare that I have so much time to myself. I signed up for Danish lessons yesterday so that should give me some structure and help with eventually getting a job and going to school here. I've also applied for a few art related volunteer jobs and have written a list of fall goals. I love lists. I figured it might be good to start some sort of a record of my time here, to keep friends and family updated and also to keep myself going with projects and goals. I can't promise that it will always be that interesting but I'll try my best. Thanks for visting!

Hi, I'm Elaina. I'm an art history graduate from Canada turned architecture student living in Copenhagen with my husband and my cat. Danish for nice and lovely, Fint & Dejlig is where I share the things I do, think and like. Often it involves travels near and far, making my tiny apartment a home, gluten and dairy free cooking and probably more cat photos than you'd care to see. Thanks for stopping by!
